Don’t miss the smash hit musical theatre sensation – All or Nothing!

They are the band responsible for a large part of the soundtrack of the Mod era and enjoyed a rollercoaster ride through the perils of the music world.

Now the story of The Small Faces is being immortalised in a new musical!

Written by the award-winning actress Carol Harrison, ALL OR NOTHING tells the electrifying yet bittersweet tale of Kenney Jones, Ian McLagan, Ronnie Lane and Steve Marriott; four charismatic young kids from East London with humour, attitude, passion and above all talent.

They became The Small Faces and were rocketed into the big time, only to discover the path to fantastic success is paved with exploitation, betrayal and ultimately tragedy.

ALL OR NOTHING celebrates the unique sound of the iconic Mod band. The musical is packed full of all the timeless hits, including the brilliant Whatcha Gonna Do About It, Tin Soldier, Lazy Sunday, Here Comes the Nice, Itchycoo Park and of course All or Nothing.

It arrives at the Marina Theatre between 6-8 July.

Carol Harrison will play Kay Marriott with Stefan Edwards as Kenney Jones, Russell Floyd as Don Arden, Josh Maddison as Ian McLagan, Joseph Peters as Jimmy Winston, Samuel Pope as Young Steve Marriott, Chris Simmons as Steve Marriott and Stanton Wright as Ronnie Lane. The cast also includes Daniel Beales, Sophia Behn, Melissa Brown-Taylor, Daisy Darvill, Fran Dearlove, Katie Faye, Alexander Gold, Danielle Johnson and Martin Teall.

Carol Harrison said “It’s a real honour to be able to bring the extraordinary world of The Small Faces back to the fans and to a brand new audience, young and old. Audiences have embraced the chance to enjoy a bit of mod nostalgia and the critics have all acknowledged the vivid underground vibe on stage as we bring the 60s scene into sharp focus.”

Chris Simmons is probably best known for playing the role of DC Mickey Webb for over twelve years in the long running ITV series The Bill. He has also appeared in EastEnders as Mark Garland, a love interest for Kat Moon and in the Tracy Beaker spin-off CBBC show, The Dumping Ground.

“The Mod audience have been great,” Chris explained.

“They know every single thing about the era and all the references. We know when they are in.
“If you are just a normal Joe Bloggs like me and were not a Mod, it does not matter. The narration tells the story. The music is fantastic and I think people will love that and the story.”

The performances take place at 7.30pm on 6th and 7th July and at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on 8th July.

Full price: £25.00, £22.50, £19.50, Concessions: £23.00, £20.50, Groups 20+: £22.50, £20.25, Privilege Card Holders: £22.50, £20.00

Marina Theatre to celebrate Suffolk Day in style!

There is something on offer for everyone at the Marina Theatre as we celebrate Suffolk Day on Wednesday, June 21.

Suffolk Day is an opportunity to celebrate everything wonderful about our county and is being spearheaded by the EADT, Ipswich Star and BBC Radio Suffolk.

Our historic theatre is the first in the country to see the sunrise every morning and we are close to our fantastic sandy beaches, the historic docks, the most Easterly point in Britain (Ness Point) and the Gulliver wind turbine.

The theatre is also in the heart of Lowestoft, close to the town centre shops.

To join in with the Suffolk Day celebrations, the Marina Theatre has teamed up with our friends at the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds to launch Once Upon A Festival – East Anglia’s leading festival celebrating the best work on stage for families.

And on Suffolk Day itself, an exciting show is being performed on the Marina stage at 1.30pm and 4.30pm.

There and Back Again: An Odyssey was written down 3000 years ago the Odyssey is the mother of all stories, the ultimate source of myths and legends full of epic battles, floating islands, one-eyed giants, angry Gods and powerful magic.

Follow CBeebies Patrick Lynch as he launches Ulysses and his companions on a fantastic 20 years long voyage to get back home.

If you would like to join us for the show, call our box office on 01502 533200 or click here.
