Take control of our first ever Play In A Week and create something never seen before!
A Performance Team and a Production Team will combine to create an exciting one of a kind production of Treasure Island.
This will be an action-packed, exciting challenge where you’ll learn new skills, make new friends and take a play from the initial idea to opening night – all in a week!
You’ll take on the devising, rehearsing and performing of a unique promenade performance of Treasure Island. This classic tale of adventure on the high seas, packed with cruel pirates, buried treasure and heroic deeds will be brought to life in the Marina’s 771-seat theatre. Learn new acting techniques, create weird and wonderful characters and put your stamp on this exciting story.
You’ll be responsible for designing and making props, costumes, set pieces and sounds for Treasure Island. Working with experienced professionals, you’ll learn important tips and tricks for creating the look and feel of the production, as well as having the chance to stage-manage the performance itself. If you like practical hands-on work and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves, this is the group for you!
Spaces in each team strictly limited to 16
Both teams will meet and work at the Marina Theatre.
