Frank Skinner: 30 Years of Dirt (14+)

Following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe and 7-nights at the Lyric Theatre in London’s West End, comic legend Frank Skinner is back with his critically acclaimed new show ‘30 Years of Dirt’.

WHAT THE CRITCS ARE SAYING ABOUT ‘30 YEARS OF DIRT’

“a supernatural sureness of touch…just plain funny in a way that few other comics can touch… supremely fast-witted in his interactions with the crowd…exquisitely vivid in some of his turns of phrase: you can sense Skinner the poetry lover in lines”

Dominic Maxwell, The Times

“he’s still got it… a comedy master… a masterclass in crowd work, with Skinner getting spontaneous laughs off every interaction…exquisite one-liners”

Steve Bennett, Chortle

“Skinner is never less than beadily alert…you come away happy that after 30 years Frank’s still dishing his dirt, and happier still that he can dish plenty more besides.”

Brian Logan, The Guardian

“immaculately constructed…Skinner’s crowdwork is as sharp as ever…he can spool out a yarn every bit as entertainingly as prime-era Billy Connolly.”

Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard

‘Jimmy Carr: Laughs Funny’ will be 90 minutes of solid jokes, no interval.

**Update 13.01.24 Trevor Bickles will now appear instead of Louise Bastock**

**Update 10.11.2023 MC John Mann has now been replaced with Justin Panks**

With Angela Barnes, Philipp Kostelecky, Louise Bastock and hosted by Justin Panks!

Headlined by the hilarious Angela Barnes! Angela swapped a career in health and social care for stand-up in 2010 and hasn’t looked back.

Within just a couple of years she had won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2011 and toured around the country with her stand-up shows. Angela has starred in BBC Two’s Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo, House of Games, and Hypothetical on Dave. She is a firm favourite on BBC Radio 4, having featured on The Now Show and The News Quiz – including a recent stint as the host. She has also hosted BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack. Angela co-hosts the less-than-serious popular podcast We Are History (Acast) with John O’Farrell. The two history nerds discuss, explain, and laugh at interesting and quirky episodes from the olden days.

Opening the show is the brilliant Philipp Kostelecky! Philipp’s style of comedy is a little bit silly, and a little bit witty, and a little bit blue. Starting comedy in 2018 in London, Philipp’s originality, international appeal, and first-class physicality have shot him up the comedy ladder, reaching the final of the 2022 Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year competition and winning Best New Comedian at the 2021 Southend Comedy Festival. Raised by an American-Slovenian mother and absentee Austrian father, Philipp uses his unorthodox cultural background and family structure to pose as an external observer and cultivate an offbeat socio-political perspective. Philipp’s writing has been featured on the BBC and he has also supported Russell Kane on tour. Based in London, Philipp now performs across the UK and Europe.

With up-and-coming comic Louise Bastock!

Rhod Gilbert & The Giant Grapefruit (16+)

Blue Jeans Management Proudly Presents…

RHOD GILBERT & THE GIANT GRAPEFRUIT

When life gives Rhod lemons…

In his last show ‘The Book of John’, Rhod was dealing with some pretty pungent life citrus, and an idiot called John. Little did he know that things were about to turn even more sour…
But Rhod’s not bitter; he’s bouncing back and feeling remarkably zesty.

Hilariously dark, passionate and way too personal, this is classic Gilbert, squeezing every last drop out of life’s latest curveballs…with a little help from an old adversary.

“DARKLY HILARIOUS. IT’S GOOD TO HAVE HIM BACK” Times

“HILARIOUS TOUR-DE-FORCE” Telegraph

“VOLCANIC, HIGH-OCTANE HUMOUR. UPROARIOUSLY FUNNY” Guardian
