Wildlife Road Trip

An informative show will take the audience behind the scenes of the wonderful world of wildlife and TV presenting when it is held at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft.

Wildlife Road Trip stars Natural history broadcasters Martin Hughes-Games and Iolo Williams and will take place on Thursday 10 November at 2:30pm. The two names will be familiar to many, particularly with the recent successes of Springwatch and Autumnwatch.

“I actually took a boat out from Lowestoft during the live Springwatch series so that I could come live from the sea,” Martin recalled.

“Unfortunately the scientists plankton net got caught around one of the propellers halving our return speed. It was a very long trip home that night! We had a fantastic time on Springwatch coming live from Minsmere for three years and there is Dunwich heath and a range of other reserves. This means there is a network of different, carefully managed, habitats resulting in a superb range of wildlife.”

Iolo added: “I love visiting East Anglia as it's so different to mid-Wales where I live so I'm very excited about visiting Lowestoft and having some time to look around the area. One of the great joys of coming across to Lowestoft is making time to visit the Suffolk coast and its amazing wildlife. Mind you, the local beer is pretty good too!”

Along with fascinating facts and plenty of fun, their exciting journey is filled with real life stories and a few surprises along the way.

Tickets are £15.75 for adults with groups of 20 or more paying £11 each. Teachers go free.
