FlipSide Festival to arrive at the Marina Theatre!

A vibrant festival will soon serve up a taste of Brazil at the Marina Theatre.

FlipSide Festival heads to Lowestoft during the October half-term with 3 days with music, theatre, art, dance and literature on offer.

Other venues taking part include Lowestoft Library, Market Place plus a rainforest on London Road North - you won’t be able to miss it.

Here at the Marina, why not try Drama in a Day: The Iron Man on Tuesday for 5-12 years - priced at £15.

You get to take on a play from idea to opening night in the space of one single day.

Create a brand new show from scratch, learn and perfect performance skills and have the chance to work and perform on the Marina Theatre stage. Booking essential.

We also have a number of free activities taking place, including a chance to try Capoeria, a form of Brazilian Street Dance, a beat boxing workshop and performance, and a body percussion workshop.

Other events include the chance to make a Brazilian headdress, or an instrument from recycled material, listen to a well-known author, join a poetry slam or just chill to the Bossa Nova rhythms.

There are events for all ages across the venues from 10 – 4 each day, most of them free.
