Tolkien (12A)

Tolkien (12A)

Tolkien explores the formative years of the orphaned author as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts at school.

Exploring the formative years of the legendary author, ‘Tolkien’ takes us back to his youth as he forms a brotherhood of fellow writers and artists at school.
Their bond strengthens as they grow up, and Tolkien begins a tumultuous relationship with his beloved Edith Bratt. But when the First World War breaks out, it threatens to tear apart their fellowship and everything they’ve built together.

Chronicling the experiences that would inspire his famous stories of Middle-earth, ‘Tolkien’ stars Nicholas Hoult and Lily Collins.
