On Tuesday 24th September Eastern Angles’ Artistic Director, Ivan Cutting, will be joining us to talk about the work his company do in this region to transform local stories into theatrical productions.
Eastern Angles Theatre Company formed in 1982 and combines heritage with theatre to make regional stories come to life on stage. Based in Ipswich at the Sir John Mills Theatre, the company has a second base in Peterborough at Chauffeur’s Cottage. Their mission is to provide high quality theatre; maintain and promote regional identity; tour to theatres, non-theatres and community venues; and develop and produce original work.
The Lowestoft Creative forum is now in its second year. Hosted by the Marina Theatre, regular sessions create an opportunity for artists, creatives, producers and arts organisations to meet-up, strengthen connections and enable better arts networking in Lowestoft and the wider eastern region.
Place: Marina Theatre, first floor meeting room (please note: this room is accessible by stairs only).
Time: 7pm – 9pm.
This is a free event – with refreshments provided! No need to RSVP, just turn up!
Lowestoft Creative Forum is part of Making Waves Together, a wider partnership project led jointly by Great Yarmouth Borough Council and East Suffolk Council, and funded by the national Great Place Scheme, which is seeing communities and organisations in both areas work together to boost the cultural offer and drive cultural re-imagination as a way of supporting success in the seaside towns. Great Places has been supported by a grant from Arts Council England and the National Lottery Fund.
